State agencies
- Tennessee Department of Revenue — Title and Registration — oversees the certificate of title for a mobile or manufactured home (issued through the county clerk; Tenn. Code title 55, ch. 3).
- Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury — Division of Property Assessments — oversees the property-tax assessment framework that the county assessors apply to manufactured homes.
- Tennessee Public Utility Commission — regulates jurisdictional electric, natural gas, and water utility service and rates.
